0.0.6 (latest)

This update brings a much needed ux pass and introduces the concept of keyframes. Upgrading will require deleting the OLD Extended Images runtime ( the gml script ) and uninstalling the Runtime plugin in package manager. Your existing data will not be effected with this upgrade, but you can delete the bin from your included files as it is no longer needed.

Suggestion is to manage uninstalling/installing plugins with NO PROJECT LOADED so that there is less risk of data loss or bugs.

  • removed runtime plugin, runtime api is now auto-installed.
  • expanded drag area detection on draggable elements in the sprite previewer
  • added hover icons for drag points on sprite previewer and highlight colors when hovered
  • added keyframe/inherit/null concept
  • add options to right click context menu when clicking lower frame strip section to change keyframe status for a selected data point
  • added data point previews and draggable/resizable keyframe indicators to the dope sheet
  • fixed the injected "Sprite Data" and "Data Points" groups margins, heights, and collapsing animations
  • upgraded data field properties to be more uniform and general ux pass, with beta value scrubbers ( click and drag the number to change it ), and better color/asset pickers
  • added helpers to convert data points locations to rotated locations when drawing with image_angle ( no support for boxes )
  • removed the bin compilation / loading system. sprite data is generated as gml files in structs and compiles like normal
  • added support for ctrl + z
  • fixed bug where point data would not save when closing sprite window, so you'd lose your work
  • expanded width of left column in the sprite editor when Extended Image groups are open so the "inspector" is not so cluttered
  • fixed issue with data table inputs not being tall enought to show underscores, etc
  • that the autogen GML will regenerate automatically on save/play but code editor may show stale versions ( unsolved bug ). This bug is now pereferable to me showing the "Would you like to reload the project" every GML generation.
  • you can resize the keyrframe pins in the dopesheet by dragging their edges, but the hit detection is not good and I have not been able to get a resize cursor to appear yet.
